I started out learning how to program for the web because I wanted to develop a travel portal about Central America. The result was Alfa Travel Guide, a guide for tourist on how to find hotels, language schools, scuba shops, and more. The portal has 500,000 visitors per year.

Another travel portal that I maintain is Tourism in El Salvador. . With the help of Google Maps the tourist can easily find hotels and destinations in El Salvador. The portal has 140,000 visitors per year.
